The final exam will comprehensive and similar to the midterms in structure, but note the different time and location. It will again be closed books, notes, laptops and other electronic devices. However, you are allowed to bring up to 4 pages (two sheets front and back) of notes.
The final will assume knowledge of all the required reading material listed in the Lectures section, as well as posted solutions to homework assignments and midterms. (Recommended readings are excluded.)
The final too will contain a mix of true/false, multiple choice, short answer questions, and derivation or conversion problems in the logics studied throughout the semester.
Midterm I will be in class during class time and cover material from the beginning of the semester up to, and including, the class before the exam. Midterm II will be administered like Midterm I. It will cover the material taught between the two exams.
Both midterms will be closed books, notes, laptops and other electronic devices. However, you are allowed to bring up to 2 pages (one sheet front and back) of notes.
The exams will assume knowledge of all the required reading material listed in the Lectures section, including the posted solutions to homework assignments. (Recommended readings are excluded.)
The exams will contain a mix of true/false, multiple choice, short answer questions, and derivation or conversion problems in the logics studied until that point. The latter problems will focus on your general understanding of these logics and derivations and conversions, not on your remembering the exact details of each logic's syntax.
