Final Info

The final will be comprehensive, and span the material covered from the beginning of the semester up to, and including, Dec 6. However, it will focus on the material covered in the second part of the semester. It will be closed books, notes, laptops and other electronic devices. As with the midterm, up to 2 cheat sheets are allowed.

The exam will assume knowledge of all the reading material listed in the Lectures section (textbook chapters, notes, and code examples) as well as posted solutions to quizzes and homework assignments.

It will contain a mix of true/false, multiple choice, and short answer questions. It will contain Scala and UML questions although their focus will be on your understanding of Scala and UML, not on your remembering the exact details of their syntax.

It is safe to assume that the midterm questions will not refer to material covered in the following sections of the Scala textbook: 4.3-4.5, 7.4, 8.8-8.9, 13.5-13.6, 14.3-14.5, 14.7, 15.4, 15.8, 16.6-16.10, 19.3-19.8, 29.5-29.6, 32.3, 32.6.

As for the UML textbook, the questions will focus on the material covered in the lectures and the labs.
