"Ming" is a program used to minimize the MD energy of a knot.  It can
also draw, edit, and render 3-D picture of knot.  It runs only on SGI
machines.

The program is available via anonymous ftp at ftp.math.uiowa.edu, in
the directory of wu/ming.  When you get it in your own directory,
change the mode of "ming" by the command "chmod 700 ming" to make it
executable.

The file manual.ps is the postscript manual file for ming.  The
directory "knots" contains the data files of some knots.
