Study Guide

Final

The final will be comprehensive.

It will be closed books, notes, laptops and other electronic devices. However, you are allowed to bring up to 4 pages (two sheets front and back) of notes.

The exam will assume knowledge of all the required reading material listed in the Lectures section as well as solutions to exercises and homework assignments and projects. (Recommended readings are excluded.) It is safe to assume that it will not delve into the details of the technical papers in the required readings.

The exam will contain a mix of true/false, multiple choice, short answer questions, and specification problems in Alloy, Lustre and Dafny. The latter will focus on your general understanding of these languages and formal specification, not on your remembering the exact details of their syntax.
