Maggy Tomova, Ph.D.
Department of Mathematics
I am a Professor and
Chair of the Department of Mathematics at The University of Iowa. My main area
of research is low-dimensional Topology. I also think deeply about how K-12
education affects students’ preparation
for college mathematics. Currently, my research is funded by FRG:
Collaborative Research: Trisections – New Directions in Low-Dimensional
Topology. Previously, my research was
funded by CAREER: New
approaches to classical knot invariants.
