- Modern versions are based on repackaged PC technology.
-- Weakness: It's all software!
-- Weakness: Hard to prove that the correct software is resident.
-- Weakness: Proprietary data formats everywhere!
-- Weakness: No meaningful possibility of a recount.
-- Weakness: Expensive machines, $5000 per booth!
-- Weakness: Testing is extremely difficult and reveals little!
-- Strength: Machine count is fast and can be very accurate.
-- Strength: Increased use of commodity hardware reduces prices.
