Always, on every assignment, please write your name legibly as it appears on your University ID and on the class list!
Do problems 6 (1.0), and 11 (1.0) at the end of chapter 3 of the notes.
Do problem 2 (1.5) at the end of chapter 4 of the notes. This problem, incidentally, is closely related to one of the parts of machine problem I.
Do problem 4 (0.5) at the end of chapter 5 of the notes. This problem is related to one of the parts of problem 2 from the previous chapter.
Feel free to use the software distributed for machine problem I in order to experiment with your solutions to the homework, but note that these problems are not machine problems. They can all be answered with pencil and paper, and the software that was distributed does not necessarily apply to all parts of all these questions!
