Commentary: It is encouraging to see that, finally, Fortran and Cobol are dead languages.

Commentary:

For the 75 students who responded, the median load was 48 hours per week.
Those with class loads under 15 credit hours (45 hour on the above) will not graduate in 4 years without taking summer classes.
Those with total loads (classes plus jobs) over 50 hours are overloaded.
Those with total loads (classes plus jobs) over 60 hours are seriously overloaded and almost certain to drop or fail courses unless they cut back on work obligations.
The financial cost of dropping or failing courses far exceeds the likely income from a job unless you earn an executive's salary.
There are 168 hours in a week. If you sleep 8 hours a day and take off an hour for each of 3 meals per day, you have 91 hours per week available. If you spend 1 hour per day commuting (home to class to work to home), you have 84 hours left for classes, work and recreation.
