Assignment 9, due October 28

Always, on every assignment, please write your name legibly as it appears on your University ID and on the class list! All assignments will be due at the start of class on the day indicated, and unless there is what insurance companies call "an act of God" - something outside your control; the only exceptions to this rule will be by advance arrangement.

NOTICE: The second installment of the notes will be at Zephyr photocopies by Monday or Tuesday.

1. From Chapter 9 of the notes, do problems l) and w). (1/2 point each)

2. Based on the figure "Binary Division on the Hawk" from Chapter 9 of the notes, using information on doing higher precision arithmetic, write a divide routine that divides one 64 bit integer by another. (1 point)

3. From Chapter 10 of the notes, do problems b) and e). (1/2 point each)
