Definition 8.3.1: a random-access stored program (RASP) is a finite sequence of instructions i1, i2, … , im that may refer to three different types of stored values (natural numbers):
• the accumulator, acc
• the instruction counter, ic
• memory locations m1, m2, m3, …
Each instruction is one of the following nine types:
