Characteristics
- General - The Texas status is "vulnerable" (S3).
- Flowers - Very tiny (few mm), white, 5 erect petals.
- Foliage - No leaves.
- Stem structures - Stems are green filaments while growing then turning orange, no hairs, twining with haustoria attachment structures.
- Fruit - Growing just below the flower calyx.
